Commander Bracket Rater

Paste a decklist or a deck link and get a bracket (1–5) based on Wizards' published rules (Game Changers, mass land denial, chained extra turns and two-card combos), a 1–10 power level built from eight weighted factors, and a breakdown of the mana base.

Your deck

Paste a deck link from Moxfield, Archidekt or MTGGoldfish (deck or archetype page) to fill in the deck. TappedOut and Deckstats block automated requests, so for those use the One-click import below. You can also paste any deck's text export into the decklist.

One-click import from Moxfield, Archidekt, TappedOut or Deckstats
  1. Drag this button to your browser's bookmarks bar: Send to Rater
  2. Open any deck on Moxfield, Archidekt, TappedOut or Deckstats and click the bookmark.
  3. This page opens with the commander and decklist filled in. Choose Rate deck.

Can't drag, or on a phone or tablet? and save it as a bookmark's address. The bookmark only reads the deck you're viewing and sends it to this page.

Name only. Separate partners with + or ;. Filled in automatically when the list has a Commander section.

One card per line, like "1 Sol Ring". Pasting a full export replaces the list and moves a Commander section into the Commander box.

Where to check your deck

How the rating works: the hard rules set the lowest bracket the deck can be in (the rules floor). The power level can only raise it. The page looks up every card on Scryfall (opens in a new tab) and scores eight factors from 0 to 10, then combines them with the formula from CodingAce's EDH power level calculator (opens in a new tab): Mana Engine × 18% + Consistency × 18% + Win Pressure × 20% + Interaction × 14% + Resilience × 10% + Protection × 8% + Disruptive Pressure × 7% + Card Quality × 5%. The table above turns that into a bracket. How each factor is scored from the cards is this site's own estimate. Draw, removal, tutor, ramp and finisher detection reads each card's rules text, so unusual wording can be missed or miscounted. Land counts use the colors Scryfall lists for each land; fetch lands count toward the basic land types they can find. If Scryfall can't be reached, the page falls back to its built-in lists of tutors, fast mana and free interaction. The Game Changers list matches the February 2026 update (53 cards). Mass land denial, extra-turn and combo detection uses built-in lists of well-known cards, so it may miss obscure ones. Always talk it over with your playgroup before the game.
